Through my art I symbolically synthesise the patterns of beauty with an equally contradictory proposition of pain, to demonstrate reconciliation and transcendence into collective actualisation of universal consciousness. I accomplish this using an original technique, that I refer to as pyro-blading, where I employ sculpting and painting techniques on a burned surface. This technique is particularly empowering because it enables me to recreate and assign a new life to a traumatic surface.
My art practice is centred around healing from pain and suffering caused by Geopolitical wars and conflicts and the displacement it causes among populations who are seeking peace and stability. Through my art I try to exhibit their plight to demonstrate how a traumatised soul emerging from a burned and wounded past is still able to seek new hopes and reinvent itself.
